When working with entrepreneurs he focuses on making sure that they address truly the deep pain warranting a disruptive change (and are not just a “nice to have”) and helps them answer seemingly simple but tough questions: who will buy it and why consistently over time? After his banking career in the UK, US and Poland, he turned into entrepreneurship (co-founded several companies, led them to successful exits), worked with the founders on getting their companies best strategic partnerships (focusing on commercial opportunities), matching them with real smart money investors and helping them to exit (with industry players). He also co-founded VC funds (like Nomad Fund, where he was a Partner) and established a deep network of VCs and investors over two decades. Born in (communist) Poland, he spends most of his life in London; proud alumnus of the LSE.

Ehab is proud to have honed his skills by working with Master Egyptian Architects. Afterward, Ehab’s belief in the importance of continuous learning drove him to pursue a Master’s Degree from The American University in Cairo, in addition to executive education at Harvard, MIT & INSEAD.
Throughout his career, Ehab led his design firm, IDIA, to grow from a small team into one of the biggest design companies in Egypt with more than 50 designers and engineers onboard. As Founder, Managing Director & Chief Designer of IDIA, Ehab Mokhtar took charge of large- scale projects on a local and national scale and acted as a Consultant for organizations and institutions such as the Ministry of Culture on urban heritage conservation. As a Serial Entrepreneur & Development Architect, Ehab co-founded IWAN Group which works in real estate development, construction, green building materials, and energy-saving. Ehab’s latest endeavor is founding Egypt Designers School (EDS), an innovative education initiative that aims to help Designers & Entrepreneurs to gain leadership skills and command creative thinking. • I am Ali Abou El Nasr, I have been working in Sports ever since I was allowed to work. I went to study Sports and Management in the University of Abertay in Dundee Scotland. I started working as a football coach while at University in different clubs across the Dundee area, ranging from girls’ High school teams to amateur and semi-professional Men’s teams. I moved to London after university and worked with multiple sports agencies while doing internships in Egypt as well. I came back in 2014 and founded Blind Football Egypt with a friend of mine and we managed to enter Egypt into its 1st ever African Blind Football competition in Cameroon. I was chosen by the Department of State of the US to represent Egypt as a leader in disability sport, I went to Clemson University to join the Global Sports Mentorship Program to join a think-tank to start Blind Football in the USA and as a guest lecturer in many different Sports classes. After having to shut down Blind Football, I co-founded “Find Me Football” with a friend from School and am its acting CEO. “Find Me Football” is an application that helps anyone who wants to play football, find others across Egypt to play with and match in real life games. We were voted joint 2nd best application in Africa by the African Application Luanchpad and were honored by the Egyptian President for our work. Along the way, I also helped bring football statistics to Egypt and work with the national team on their journey to the World Cup and worked as an assistant to Alex McLeish and a translator for other coaches at Zamalek Football club. Currently we are moving on with Find Me Football to help make football more accessible to all and also help make more professional football players come out of Egypt through multiple services in the Application for which we managed to get a pre-seed fund through different investors.

He left everything and joined his friend and social enterprise visionary Ahmad Ashkar to help build and grow what is today the Hult Prize, a global movement of youth who are using business as a force for good. With more than 250,000 applicants per year, this is the largest entrepreneurship program of its kind in the world. A few years into his new role, Karim set his sights on the Middle East, its youth, and its debilitating unemployment rate. He helped launch successful youth entrepreneurship programs in Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon. He built long term partnerships between public and private sector players, local and International, to finance educational opportunities for thousands of youth, and to fund some of the region’s most exciting impact startups. Given the challenges the Middle East faces today, and the incredible demand he witnessed, Karim launched Changelabs, a dedicated platform for the Middle East and from the Middle East to make sure as many young people as possible could receive training, inspiration, and funding. The company now runs accelerators, festivals, incubators, and learning programs for young people in multiple countries and provides funding for early stage startups, a segment largely missing in the MENA region. Following the COVID crisis and Lebanon’s political instability, Karim launched Beatbox design, a company that aims to provide employment opportunities to Lebanese and Arab creative professionals by offering simple, scalable, and affordable design to startups and established companies around the world. In addition to being a recognized mentor to startups globally, he also invests in early stage companies and sits on a number of boards across the healthcare, education, and energy sectors through Changelabs, a MAGNITT-rated top MENA accelerator. He works closely with development organizations, the private sector, and leading governments to help design and deliver cutting-edge impact entrepreneurship programs that help ignite and develop local startup ecosystems. He holds a B.A. in History from Boston College, and an M.B.A from NYU’s Stern School of Business, where he was a merit-based scholarship recipient. Websites: www.hultprize.org www.changelabsme.org
