Techne Gaming Competition

Join us at Techne Summit Alexandria's 10th edition for a unique opportunity to showcase your game development skills! Whether you're an indie studio with a standout concept or a passionate team working on the next big hit, this competition is your chance to shine and win a trip to Stockholm,Sweden to attend DreamHack event held from November 22-24, 

Who Should Apply: We’re looking for indie game studios from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or the UAE, with at least one founder who is either Egyptian or based in Egypt, and who:

• Have a creative and innovative game idea.

• Can deliver a playable version of their game.

• Are ready to pitch their game and business model.

Competition Timeline:

• Phase One (5th - 22nd September 2024): Apply now and submit your game.

• Phase Two (29th September 2024): Virtual pitch presentations and winner announcements.

• Phase Three: Final pitches at Techne Summit.

Evaluation Criteria: Games will be judged on:

• Game Design: Innovation, replayability, and fun factor.

• Business Strategy: Market potential and revenue plans.

• Art & Sound: Coherent design and originality.

• Team Dynamics: Complementary skills and shared vision.

• Good Cause: Extra points will be awarded to games that demonstrate a positive social impact, such as sustainability, inclusion, or alignment with any of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

How It Works:

1. Submit your application with a game trailer, pitch deck, and playable version.

2. Selected teams will pitch their games virtually.

3. Finalists will present at Techne Summit for a chance to win a trip to Stockholm
