Amr Talaat has been appointed the Minister of Communications and Information
Technology since June 2018, to the Cabinet of the Prime Minister Dr. MostafaMadbouly.
Talaat possesses over 30 years of solid experience in communications and information technology areas, with a wide experience in developing and implementing strategies across a vast spectrum of activities in Egypt.
Talaat joined IBM-Egypt in August 1988 and held various managerial positions. On May 23 rd , 2010, Amr Talaat held the position of the Country General Manager of IBM, and also served as IBM Egypt Territory Manager since 2005.
He held various managerial positions within IBM Egypt including Business Partner Organization (BPO) Manager as well as Systems and Technology Group Manager.
During his tenure, his scope transcended financial goals to strategic and operational elements such as building human capital, fortifying customer loyalty, corporate social responsibility and employees’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
He also sought to establish relationships with key officials and executives of various sectors, both at the national and international levels, to attract major investments, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) deals.
In addition, Talaat was an adjunct professor at Cairo University; teaching marketing and & sales strategies and tactics, organizational behavior and strategic management. He was, also, an honorary member at the ICT Board at Cairo University and member of the ICT Board of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) and the Chairman of ICT Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham).
Talaat graduated in 1983 from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, completing his undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering at Cairo University.
He earned his PhD or doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Paris - Paris School of Business (PSB) and Masters of Science in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), in addition to an MBA from Paris ESLSCA Business School, France.

Mamdouh Afia is a leading expert in SMEs Development and a management professional with over 35 years of experience in different sectors. He is the Head of the SME Group at the “National Bank of Egypt” (NBE), responsible for the strategic management of the SMEs line of business and the development of the SME banking portfolio in the bank that now exceeds 100 billion Egyptian Pounds. From 2012 till 2018 he was the Head of the Regional Program for SME Development at the “European Bank for Reconstruction and Development” (EBRD), responsible for the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean region.
Prior to his banking career Mamdouh Afia was a practicing management consultant for 17 years. He founded and managed his consulting company “Almanar” from 1994 to 2011, offering management consultancy services to corporates and SMEs. He also provided advisory services to International Development organizations and Donors as well as government bodies in the domain of SME’s and industrial development.
For 9 years prior to the consultancy career, Mamdouh Afia worked as a business development engineer in several Egyptian Commercial companies that represented international Conglomerates specialized in the manufacturing of production lines to sectors such as the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, packaging, chemical, metallurgical and engineering industries.
Mamdouh has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (1985). In 2002 he was granted the CMC accreditation (Certified Management Consultant) from the Institute of Management Consultancy in the UK.
Kharma was born and raised in Cairo. He has started playing piano at the age of 9. Kharma obtained his BS in Computer science from the American University in Cairo and his postgraduate studies in art direction at Miami Ad School.
Kharma started working in the field of advertising after graduation as a creative director, his first work was Ahl Masr Hospital for burns ad, after this work he was granted the title of Humanity Burn Free ambassador, for the initiative of the Ahl Masr for burns and for composing the music of Shoof B'albak.
In 2010, Kharma released his first official album, The First Voyage produced by Virgin Megastores, and followed by his second album released under Sony Music Entertainment records, where he was chosen to represent Egypt at one of Sony Music albums of the musical series, Arabesque with Yanni and Can Atilla. In November 2016, released his third album, AlyaQeen, Consisting of 13 music pieces and took about 3 years preparing for its release.
In 2018, Kharma collaborated with Egyptian composer Omar Khairat, honoring the memory of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his moving memorial at 57357 Hospital. In the same year, Kharma composed the soundtrack for the opening and activities of the World Youth Forum held in Sharm El-Sheikh. Kharma collaborated with Tanvi Shah in a recording work titled Born Free.
In 2020, for the first time, Kharma composed the soundtrack for The End, the first Egyptian Sci-fi television drama series. That year, he composed the soundtrack for Mako, an Egyptian film adapted from the accident of the passenger ship, Salem Express that sank in the Red Sea in 1991.

Thuraya Ismail is an Eisenhower Fellow, international human and social development expert, and an art advocate. His second short film, The Aftermath of the Inauguration of the Public Toilet at Kilometre 375, was the first Egyptian film to be selected for the Cinéfondation competition at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, the film went on to win several awards around the world.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moemen Afify is a Full-time Professor at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. He taught several courses in both undergraduate and post-graduate studies in several other universities as well, such as architectural design, environmental design and control systems, renewable energy sources, shade and shadow., Dr. Afify is specialized in environmental design and planning as well as energy conservation in buildings. He worked as the Environmental Optimization Coordinator for the new American University in Cairo Project through Sasaki/CDC. Dr. Afify worked in several projects related to environmental studies such as in the cities of Cairo, Aswan and other similar projects. He also developed the environmental strategies for several projects in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
